Cabo: Los Claros, a Locals’ Favorite
“It’s fun to get together and have something good to eat at least once a day. That’s what human life is all about- enjoying things.” – Julia Child
Part of the fun of traveling is going off the beaten path. Sure, hitting all the touristy spots is easy and sometimes a necessity. However, there is usually so much more to explore, and the best places are the ones off the grid.
I like to look for these hidden gems. To prepare for my trip to Cabo, I reached out to my Facebook network and asked, “Any recommendations on what to do in Cabo?”
Donna replied, “We’re taco snobs, and Los Claros had the best! We could have eaten there every day. Definitely a locals’ place. Nothing fancy, but great!”
A locals’ place? Wow…. Awesome! Thanks, Donna! After our off-road adventure, Brian, Leann and I were starving. Donna’s description sounded wonderful and exactly what we may have been craving. Off we went…

We sauntered into Los Claros and scoped out the scene. There was live music, and the place was definitely filled with locals. There was a little bar with all the fixings, including limes, jalapenos, various salsas and more. We were excited to try the tacos.
We enjoyed the atmosphere as we ate our tacos and drank our afternoon cocktails. I was really pleased with the different tacos I ordered. Brian did not care for one of his tacos, but otherwise, all was good. Would we recommend this place? Absolutely. The food was great, and the place was fun. 🙂
Note: Los Claros is located in San Jose del Cabo
