CA: Glen Ivy Hot Springs
“Taking time out each day to relax and renew is essential to living well.” – Judith Hanson Lasater
When I visit California, I try to mix up my time with my favorite things and new escapades. On a recent visit, I decided to venture off to Glen Ivy Hot Springs. When I lived in LA, my roommate, Deb, had wanted to take a day trip there. Time ran out, and I never got to go. Glen Ivy became an “LA bucket list” item for me.
When I told a few friends I was interested in checking out the place, my friend, Alison, found a spa package we could do. We decided to sign up for the Wellness Package, which included the following:
- Taking the Waters admission
- 50-minute treatment (your choice of a $100 massage, facial, or body treatment)
- Grotto treatment
- Daily wellness activities that included AquaFit and yoga
We were able to have a relaxing day at this little spot. Glen Ivy has 19 pools and spas to choose from. We tried several of the pools, received a Grotto treatment, and lathered ourselves with mud. The day soothed our souls and offered a little escape from the chaos of the City of Angels. We left with a feeling of Zen.
