Bacon, Dates, and Goat Cheese
“No one is born a great cook, one learns by doing… try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless and above all, have fun.” – Julia Child
I love bacon. I love cheese. I love sweets. I am not particularly fond of dates, but I am open to trying new food.
When my sister, Alexis, hosted us for New Year’s Day, she made an interesting dish, dates packed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon. I was delightfully surprised by the burst of salt, sweet, and creaminess in my mouth. I popped several of these down with pure enjoyment.
When my sister, Maria, hosted a Super Bowl party, I decided to give this tasty delight a try. I called Alexis for the recipe, and my dish was a hit.
