Fear the Raven, Ravenwood Haunted Farm, Massachusetts
“It’s not just a haunted house… it’s an adventure!”
Boston’s newest haunted attraction, Ravenwood Haunted Farm, located in Haverhill, Massachusetts recently opened. I love the Halloween season, so I wanted to check it out. One night, I went with Carlyn and her two children.
Before going, I checked out their Facebook page and read the reviews. I was curious to see how their haunted farm was perceived. I was quite pleased to see reviews saying Ravenwood Haunted Farm rivals Universal’s Haunted Horror Nights and Spooky World. After all, this is the haunt’s first year.

We picked up our tickets, waited in line, hopped on a hayride, and rode into the darkness with Judy. A tractor hayride was a fun way to kick off our adventure. Our appetite was wet with anticipation for the chills and thrills to come.
Tip: To save time and $5.00, buy your tickets online. Want to avoid the lines? Buy “Front of Line Access.” Note: Limited “Front of the Line Access” tickets are available.
As we waited, we were spooked by creatures sneaking up on us. Carlyn’s kids both wanted to lead us through the haunted farm. Her son took the lead, but not for long…
Into the spooky woods we ventured, not really knowing what was lurking in the darkness. Our first stop was the haunted mansion. We were ushered inside, and warned about the terrors we would face.
I understood why Ravenwood is being compared to Universal… the detail of the props and costumes were outstanding. We were transported into a frightful setting, which resulted in screams, laughs, and Carlyn’s son pushing his sister to take the lead.
We continued through the haunted farm’s various haunts, ending in the corn field. At the end of the night, Carlyn’s daughter said, “Whatever you paid, that was worth it.” And on the way home, Carlyn kept saying, “That was like being on a Hollywood set.” Her kids were like, “Mom, you keep saying that…”
Tip: Parking is free!
